Sanusi accused of being Boko's Sponsor

The presidency has labelled suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi a potential sponsor of terrorist group, Boko Haram, according to the Herald.

Aide to President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri, was alleged to have named the suspended CBN chief a Boko Haram sponsor in a statement sent to the press under an alias, Wendell Simlin.

He revealed that Sanusi was arrested in Kano and detained by the late General Sanni Abacha administration in Sokoto after being implicated in the Gideon Akaluka beheading affair of 1995.
